Jeanne de Valois was born in 1294 in Longpont, Aisen, France. She was the daughter of Charles I, comte de Valois et d'Alençon and Marguerite de Sicile. She married Guillaume I "le Bon", comte de Hainaut, Hollande, et Zélande, son of Jean II, comte de Hainaut et Hollande and Philippa d' Arlon, on 19 May 1305 in Chauny, France. She died on 7 March 1342 in Fontenelle, Yonne, France, at age 48 years.
