Obit.Death of Frank X. Koch Frank X. Koch of Morrowville, Kansas died Sept. 30, 1959 at the Washington County Kansas Hospital. He was the son of Ruppert and Theresa Koch and was born in Gronenback, Baveria, Germany on Oct. 30,1874. At the age of 19 he came to the United States and worked on a farm near Gladstone, Nebraska. On April 22, 1901, he married Magdalene Hellman of Morrowville, Kansas. They lived on a farm in the Morrowville area for many years. In 1942 they moved to Morrowville, retiring in 1948. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Nutsch and Mrs. Crezencia Nutsch. Survivors include his wife, Magdalene; three daughter, Mrs. Rose Portwood of Fairbury, and Mary, Mrs. Joe Miller, and Elizabeth, Mrs. Earl Sawyer, both of Morrowville; two sons, Ernest of Gladstone and Francis of Fairbury: nine grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren and neices and nephews. Funeral services were at 10 a.m. at the St Peter and Paul Catholic church of Morrowville, Rev. Alvin Werth officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
