She was born on the 11th of December 1753 in the village Schweikershain near Döbeln in Saxony in Germany. Her parents were Christian and Rosina Bemmann from Schweikershain. (H3)
Childhood:
She grew up on her father's farm in Schweikershain. (H3)
Unmarried Motherhood:
On the 8th of February 1775 she bore a son named Johann Gottfried in Schweikershain whilst still single. In the baptism record of the baby in the local church books is recorded that she said that Andreas Molde from the village Richzenhain in the nearby Hartha parish is the father. (H3)
Marriage:
She married the single Johann Wilhelm Hoppen from the village Waldenburg, which is also near Döbeln, on the 13th of April 1777 in the Lutheran church in Schweikershain. He was called Wilhelm and was born in 1747. He was a cottager. His father's name was Johann Hoppen. (H3)
They moved to the village Schönerstädt, which is also near Döbeln, and raised a family there. (H4)
Death:
She died on the 27th of January 1814 in Schönerstädt. (H4)
She was 60 years old.
Other Information:
1. There were no baptisms of children of the Hoppen-Bemmann couple in the Schweikershain parish. What about Hoppen-Richter?
2. In her wedding record from 1777 and in the baptism records from 1785, 1787, 1790 and 1798 her surname is given as Bemmann or Bemm. In the baptism records from 1781 and 1783 her surname is given as Richter.
