UNION, Mich. - Wilma (Boyer) Trout, 83, of 70231 Trout Road, Union, Michigan, died Friday afternoon (May 6, 1988) at Elkhart General Hospital, Elkhart, Indiana, after a short illness. She was born Sept. 4, 1904, at Allenton, Mason Township, Cass County, Mich. As Wilma Pearl Boyer, she married Clarence Llewellyn Trout on Feb. 15, 1922, at the Methodist parsonage in Cassopolis. He died in Nov., 1942. Surviving are: a son, Clare E., of Jones; three daughters, Mrs. Leonard E. (Velma L.) Stults, New Holland, Pa., Mrs. Dorsey A. (Mary L.) Norris and Mrs. Ralph D. (Ruth E.) Kreischer, both of Ocala, Fla.; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a brother, Edson S. Boyer, Union. A brother and a granddaughter are deceased. Mrs. Trout was a lifetime resident of the Union area. She had worked as a clerk at Drake's and Ziesel's department stores in Elkhart. She was a member of the Hillcrest United Methodist Church and the YWCA, both of Elkhart. She was of German (Pennsylvania Dutch) and colonial English descent. Services will be at 2 pm Monday at Hillcrest United Methodist Church, Elkhart, with Rev. Don Carpenter, pastor, officiating, with Geisler-Eley Funeral Home, Constantine, in charge. Burial will be in the East Union Cemetery, Union.
