Spinning Wool at Her Home, Local Woman Drops Dead
Sitting in a room at her home at 536 Water Street Thursday afternoon Mrs. Valentine Borski was spinning wool on an old fashioned spinning wheel. Suddenly she pitched forward to the floor. When relatives in the home came to her assistance she was dead. A comb which she used in spinning wool, was in her hand.
Mrs. Borski was born in German Poland 68 years ago. In 1873 she was married to Valentine Borski in German Poland, and 11 years later they moved to the United States, coming directly to Oshkosh, after they arrived in this country. After six years in Oshkosh they moved to Junction City, and after a residence of 15 years at Junction City, they came to Stevens Point, where they have since lived.
Mrs. Borski is survived by her husband and the following sons and daughters:
Mrs. Jacob Shilke, city; Mrs. Paul Okray, Carson; Leo Borski, Junction City; Frank Borski, Wakefield, MN. There also remains one sister, Mrs. Julian Niesbrilla, Chicago, and two brothers, Paul Hintz, Oshkosh; and Joseph Hintz, Detroit, Michigan.
The funeral will be held Saturday morning at 8 o'clock at St. Peter's church, Rev. S. A. Elbert officiating, burial following in St. Peter's cemetery. The deceased was a member of the Holy Rosary society of St. Michael's church at Junction City.
