Adopted by Virgie Irene & Al Wilkerson and raised in Oklahoma. Supposedly there is an error about her place of birth, and that it should read Coffeyville, Kansas. Also, her birth surname may have been Morgan. Virgie was born September 26, 1903, in Oklahoma; and she died January 25, 1985, in Maryland Heights, St. Louis County, Missouri. 1930 census says her father was an oil field laborer. He was born in Missouri in about 1889.
