[Krug-Grunwald-Tree.GED] St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Marriage Record Marriage Date: 1-28-1897 Witnesses: Herman Engel, Louis Hansen, Bertha Engel, Margaretha Rein OBITUARY-Commonwealth Reporter, Fond du Lac, Wi - Dated: 4-7-1945 John Rein, a retired farmer, died at 5:55 a.m. today at his home, 377Grant Street, at the age of 74. He was born August 22, 1870, in the Town of Empire, son of Jacob andCatherine Saenger Rein. Mr. Rein was married January 28, 1897, in theTown of Forest to Miss Anna Engel. The couple resided on a farm in theTown of Empire until coming to Fond du Lac in October 1939, to establishtheir home on Grant Street. Mr. Rein was a member of St. Peter’s LutheranChurch. Besides his widow, he leaves three daughters, Mrs. Dan Theune of thiscity, Mrs. Ward Bejamin of Plymouth and Mrs. Carl Meyer of Oshkosh; ason, Clarence Rein, Town of Empire; a granddaughter, Barbara Ann Theune;a brother, Henry Rein, city; a sister, Mrs. Anna Gehrke of Oshkosh, andthree half brothers, Otto Rein, Jacob Rein and William Rein all ofGreenbush. The body is at the Candlish chapel where funeral services will be held at1:30 p.m. Tuesday at 2 p.m. at St. Peter’s Lutheran church, the Rev.Gerhard Pieper officiating. Burial will be at Rienzi Cemetery. The casket will not be opened at the church. Commonwealth Reporter - Dated: 4-11-1945 Funeral services for John Rein who died Saturday, were held at 1:30 p.m.Tuesday at the Candlish Chapel and at 2 p.m. at St. Peter’s LutheranChurch, the Rev. Gerhard Pieper officiating. _Burial will be in RienziCemetery. Pallbearers were Manson Ryan, Harry Engel, Marvin Rein, John Neitzke,Alfred Engel, and Lawrence Engel, nephews of Mr. Rein. Persons attending included Mr. and Mrs. Ward Benjaman of Plymouth; Mr.and Mrs. Carl Meyer, Mrs. Gilbert Gehrke, Mrs. Anna Gehrke, Mrs. GordonGehrke and Mrs. Walter Burdick of Oshkosh; Misses Lillian and JohannaBelz of River Forest, Illinois; Mrs. Barbara Hagland of Chicago; Mr. andMrs. Henry Neitzke and son John of Oak Park, Illinois. Mr. and Mrs.Manson Ryan and Mrs. Emma Petrie of Milwaukee; George Oldenburg ofMedford; Mr. and Mrs. John Anderson of Franksville; Mr. and Mrs. IrvinTheune of Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Michael Wist and Angeline Leifering ofMarytown and Mr. and Mrs. S.
