Notes for this person
Edward graduated at Dartmouth College in 1797. He studied law in the office of Judge Parsons in Newburyport; practiced his profession for several years with considerable success; was county attorney and publisherof law reports for the Commonwealth. After the destructive fire of 1811, by which he lost nearly all of his property, he removed to Portlandand in 1826 to Auburn, where he continued to reside during the remainder of his life. The town built the Edward Little High School and has astatue in his honor.
