Aus Find A Grave: Jane Eleanor Bloom Woodruff GEBURT 20 Okt 1933 Muskegon, Muskegon County, Michigan, USA TOD 2 Nov 2019 (im Alter von 86) Roosevelt, Duchesne County, Utah, USA BESTATTUNG Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery Sandy, Salt Lake County, Utah, USA GEDENKSTÄTTEN-ID 204414166 Jean Eleanor (Bloom) Woodruff OCTOBER 20, 1933 ~ NOVEMBER 2, 2019 (AGE 86) Jean Eleanor Bloom Woodruff age 86, of Roosevelt, formerly of Salt Lake City, passed away November 2, 2019, at her daughter, Diana Eddington's, home. Jean Eleanor Bloom Woodruff, our loving mother and grandmother, peacefully passed from this life on November 2, 2019 in Roosevelt, Utah, at the age of 86. She was born October 20, 1933 in Muskegon, Michigan to Fred and Ellen Bloom, the youngest of four daughters. Her early years were happy ones, spent with family and friends at the beach of Lake Michigan and roller skating at Curvecrest Roller Rink where she enjoyed competing. At age 17, she met Wilford Ensign Woodruff who was serving as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in her hometown. A friendship developed and they corresponded for two years. After his return home, they courted and were married in the Salt Lake Temple on September 8, 1953. She is the mother of six children, 30 grandchildren and 68 great-grandchildren. Her family was her greatest joy. Jean was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and faithfully served in many callings. Together with her husband, she served a mission in Manchester, England from 1997-1998 and had many wonderful experiences there. She loved the people, fed and cared for the other missionaries and shared her musical talents. She also served as a missionary at the Sandy Institute of Religion. Jean was a devoted wife and mother and served her family well. She enjoyed working as a legal secretary and was later employed by the Boy Scouts of America in the Mormon Relations office. Jean was blessed with many gifts and talents. She had an incredible gift of playing the piano by ear and could play and transpose any song she learned. At age five, her father taught her chords, and together on the piano and guitar, they played all the "old time" songs. She shared this talent by accompanying others and playing at countless weddings, funerals, church meetings and senior citizen centers. Jean loved to make new friends and keep up with old ones. She was generous in giving of her time and means to help others she would come in contact with, even perfect strangers. She shared her love and gratitude with others through writing letters and thank you notes. Jean always wanted to do her best and look her best. She enjoyed throwing parties for family and friends. She loved to cook, bake, entertain and set the most beautiful tables. She enjoyed camping and playing games with family and friends. She also loved to help coordinate family reunions at Flaming Gorge. Wilford and Jean raised their children in the Holladay area, then relocated to Sandy, where they resided for over 40 years. They later moved to Roosevelt, where two of their daughters lived, and enjoyed eight wonderful years there. When health concerns arose for Wilford, they moved to South Jordan to spend their last years together where they had caring neighbors and friends. After Wilford passed away earlier this year, she returned to Roosevelt to be cared for by her family. Jean always exhibited great patience and strength as she faced life's challenges and her many health issues as she grew older. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilford Ensign Woodruff, parents, Fred and Ellen Nelson Bloom, and sisters, Verleen Bloom, Rosemarie Bloom and Ardelle Bloom Jorgensen. She is survived by her children Laura (Paul) Jeppson, Diana (Keith) Eddington, Kent (Linda) Woodruff, Linda (Doug) Fulton, James (Suzanne) Woodruff, Lana (Russell) Muir , and her foster children, Clara Jean (Everson) Schmidt and Stephen Norwood. She was adored by her children, grandchildren, extended family and countless friends. Jean will be greatly missed by all, but we know she is happy once again in the arms of her sweetheart.
