Das Verwandtschaftsverh&auml;ltniszwischen Siegfried I. und Stephan I. gilt als offen, es ist besitzrechlich zwar belegt, jedoch ist der Grad ungewiss.<sup id="cite_ref-6" class="reference"><a href="https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grafschaft_Sponheim#cite_note-6"><span style="font-size: small;">[4]</span></a></sup> Um 1124 heiratete <a title="Meginhard von Sponheim" href="https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meginhard_von_Sponheim">Meginhard von Sponheim</a>, wahrscheinlich der Enkel Stephans, Mechtild von <a title="Schloss M&ouml;rsburg" href="https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schloss_M%C3%B6rsburg">M&ouml;rsberg</a>.
