News Paper Obituary, Johnstown Paper, April 01, 1924 Mrs. Sidney Makin DIES IN CHICAGO Body of Johnstown Septuagenarian to Be Brought Here for Burial Mrs. Sidney (Dixon) Makin, widow of Oliver Makin, who for a number ofyears resided in this city died last night at the home of hergrand-daughter, Mrs. Fred Hoffman, in Chicago, where she made her homesince leaving here two years ago. Mrs. Makin was 79 years of age. Herhusband was a veteran of the Civil War, having served in Company G,Nineteenth Regiment, U.S.A.. His death occured in 1889, when he waskilled by a falling tree while at work in Brownstown. Mrs. Makin is survived by these sons and daughters: George, of theSeventeenth Ward; Steel, of Walnut Grove; Mrs. Robert Foust of 538Central Avenue; Mrs. Robert Wisor, of the rear of 558 1/2 Central Avenue;Walter, of Springfield O.; Benjamin and Joseph, of Lima O.; Thomas andJohn, of Fairmont, Ind., and Mrs. Frank Williams of Oklahoma. The funeral will take place from the Foust home in Moxham on Thursdayafternoon. The body will arrive tomorrow. NOTE Oliver died in 1892 not 1889, see his obituary
