As told by Irene Ackerman on August 8, 2006, Age 94; 8:30PM to RobertA. & Lois M. Follmer. Dads side of the family, he had one sister had Rudolph out ofwed-lock and then had Stanley and William (Bill) they served in WWI(France). They got gassed which hurt their health and they both hadwives & children and couldnt work their farms anymore an ended uplosing their farms, couldnt pay taxes, etc and ended up in the poorfarm (Nursing Home Now). Dad almost had to go to WWI but didnt haveto because of having 5 children. Took single men first, etc. Milo wasborn on K street in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and the lady across the streetcame to help with the delivery. Everyone was born in the home.
