DEATH OF MRS. DR. BROCKMAN
She Was Well Known in City and County and Highly Esteemed
Mrs. Dora Brockmann, wife of Dr. Charles Brockman, of Center township died at the family residence at 7:30 o'clock Monday Morning. Mrs. Brockmann was born in Schleswig-Holstein, Feb. 23, 1830. She emigrated to this country in 1850 and in 1851 was united in marriage to Dr. Brockmann, who survives her with seven children - Henry; Katie, now Mrs. P. Broessel; Annie, now Mrs John Luxinger; Tillie, now Mrs. Gabriel Baumgartner; Minnie, now Mrs. Pelton of Deerfield, Iowa; Adolph and Herman, at home; alos several grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.
Mrs. Brockmann was of a very genial nature, and her friends, who are legion, will sincerely regret her demise.
She was well and favorably known in Dubuque and the northern part of the county, and was a woman whose happy temperament and many deeds of charity had endeared her to all who know her.
The funeral took place Wednesday and was very largely attended, services being held at the Center township Lutheran church.
