Gerstmann - - - Many Pay Last Respects to Mrs. A. J. Venghaus Many friends and relatives gathered here Tuesday, Sept. 20th, 1966, to pay final tribute to Mrs. A. J. Venghaus of this city who passed away at her home at 1:30 a.m., Sunday, Sept. 18th. Services were held at 10:00 a.m. from the chapel of the Mill-Bauer Funeral Home with the Rev Mrs. Selma Burger, pastor of Eagle Lake Mission Church, officiating. Mrs. Ann Brooks of Baytown and Mrs. Vera Flowers of Eagle Lake rendered a song. Mrs. Clara Mae Nash played favorite hymns at the organ. Burial was in the Lakeside Cemetary in Eagle Lake. Pallbearers were four grandsons, David and Gerald Teel, Kenny and Doyle Venghaus; and two nephews, Raymond and Roy Klaus. Mrs. Venghaus, the former Adeline Elise Christine Kramer, was born on September 26, 1890, in San Bernardo, TX, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Kramer. She spent her entire life in Texas, most of it in Colorado County, living in the Columbus, Mentz, Garwood and Eagle Lake communities. Surviving are her husband; August John Venghaus; one son, Alvester E. Venghaus; three daughters, Miss Alpha Venghaus of this city, Mrs. Riley Nash of Jackson, Miss., Mrs. Adron Teel of Highlands, Texas. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, one sister and three brothers, and a host of other relatives and friends. Mrs. Venghaus was a devoted wife and mother and won the love and friendship of every acquaintance. She shall be missed dearly by her loved ones and friends.
