Services for Frederick J. Rockey, 58, of 3205 Freeman St., will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Elzey-Dickey-Haggard Home for Funerals, Waynedale. He died at 6:30 p.m. Monday in Lutheran Hospital, shortly after admittance. He had been ill for two years. Mr. Rockey was a native of Whitley County and had lived in Fort Wayne 25 years. He was a retired employee of Essex International with 32 years service, a former vice president of the Essex Credit Union and a World War II veteran.
Surviving are his wife, Bertha; three sons, Michael B. Myers, at home, Frederick W., Columbia City, and David A., R.R. 1, Decatur; two daughters, Mrs. Donna Jean Fahlsing, Fort Wayne, and Miss Janice E. Rockey, Winona Lake; a sister, Mrs. Frances Wolfe, Columbia City; a brother, Robert Kelly, Miami, Fla., a half brother, Harry Kelly, Churubusco, and a half sister, Mrs. Ethel Harter, Laotto. Friends may call after 1 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be in Covington Memorial Gardens. Preferred memorials are gifts to the First Brethren Church Building Fund. Note: Believe that Robert Kelly is a half brother also.
