DEATH COMES TO MRS. ROSA ROCKEY
Is Survived By A Number of Children-Funeral Services Will Be Held Thursday
Mrs.Rosa Rockey, 69, widow of the late Newton Rockey, died at 8 o’clock Monday evening at the Whitley County home where she had resided since July 16, 1933.
She was born in Elkhart county on September 21, 1881, a daughter of Issac and Eva Alfred Hartsough. Following her marriage to Newton Rockey they resided for a number of years on a farm near Larwill, and later in Columbia township. Mr. Rockey passed away in 1941.
The surviving relatives include four daughters, Mrs. Albert Crowell and Mrs. Harlen Jones, both of Fort Wayne; Mrs. Martha Hagbom, Chicago; Miss Luella Rockey, Albion; five grandchildren; two brothers, James Hartsough, Columbia City; Klem Hartsough, New Castle; three sisters, Mrs. Cyral Bagguley, Syracuse, N.Y.; Mrs. Harry Zimmerman, Chicago; Mrs. Jud Windle, Grable.
The body has been removed to the Smith and Sons Funeral Home where friends may call after 7:30 o’clock this evening. Funeral rites will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Funeral Home. Committal services and burial will be on the family lot in the Washington Union Cemetery north of Pierceton.
