He came to America on the Pannonia sailing from Fiume on the 9th of December 1912. They arrived at the Port of New York on 30 December 1912 and went through Ellis Island. He first went to New York city to be with his mother and uncle and then they went to Flint, Michigan and were part of the huge Hungarian community there. He lived in Flint for 66 years and was a member of the Hungarian Reformed Church. He married Vilma (Thelma) Szabo on March 02, 1920 in North Branch.
