[Abraham.FTW] Ezekiel Kessner father of Andrew J. Kessner, married Sarah A. Whitehead Williams Adkins the mother of Elizabeth Williams . When Andrew and Elizabeth were small they were step brother and sister.... Andrew J. Kessner then married Elizabeth Williams when they grew up...... There was a tin slid of Elizabeth at 12 years old she had long blond hair in long curls, unfortunately the slide was destroyed by a family member..... She was listed as widow 50 years old on the Tennessee 1880 Census:: Ezekiel had to have died between Nov. 1879 and June 1880. The 1880 Wayne Co. TN. Census Dist. 166, Pg. 12, Line 10, has one child born of theirs age 7 mos. old., according to Census. The Census was taken June 11, 1880 they have name spelt Kasner. On the Census it states both her Father and Mother were born in North Carolina. She is listed with 2 of her Williams children, 2 of her Adkins children, and 3 of her Kesner children, (one daughter named Anabeth listed on 1870 census but not on 1880 census, she must have died, or was living with some of the other family at the time... No record of her found again as yet.) 1850 Lewis Co. Tennessee Census NC T, 4-777 Family of Fenner J. Williams and Sarah found here.. 1860 Wayne Co Tenn. Census has her listed as 29 years of age born in Tenn. and a Widow. This was her 1st marriage to Fenner Williams he died. 1860 TN. Census showed her parents born in N.C.... Early Tennessee Marriages Book has Fenner J. Williams married to Sarah Whitehead Feb. 12, 1846. in Lawerance Co. TN. listed. Copy of record from Lawrence Co. TN. in my possession. Bk H., Pg 65, No. 213. Married by:R.W. McWhirter JP.... Early Tennessee Marriages Book Wayne Co. TN. marriage records show Sarah Williams and John F. Adkins, M: Aug. 13, 1860... He either died before 1867 or they divorced. Found on Waynesboro, Wayne Co. Tennessee 1870 Census Pg. 5, Line 11, John Adkins 50 years old in Thorp's household listed as a pauper. Possibly him?. Dates fit. Early Tennessee Marriages Book has Ezekiel Kesner (Casiner) married Sarah Adkins Aug. 15, 1867 Wayne Co. TN. listed.....Unable to get records from Wayne Co. TN. as they had a fire that destroyed their records. 1870 Tenn Census shows she is 20 years old, should have been 50 years old.,writting was hard to read and they have the name spelt Casinger. These families are in households next to each other.... Ezekiel Kesner not found on 1880 Wayne Co. TN. Census it shows Sarah is a widow.......Still in Wayne Co. Tennessee.
