Research in 2011 Naming varations in records which made this research difficult and missed in research before. Kaup Kaupman Auster Der Kaup Heide Kaup Auster DerHeide Marriage record for J. Hermanus Jost aus der Kaup heide 15 Jul 1760. Death record of J. Herman states he is 83 yo. that puts the date of birth abt 1738. There is no other J.Herman born between 1730-1750 except 1734. Concluded that the 1734 record is Casparus father. Research in 2012-2013 Disproved the 1760 marriage as this J.H. Kaup aus der Heide had a child baptized after Casparus in the same year ,1763. There are four J.H. with variations of the surname. One married in 1753, 1758, 1760 and then my Hermanus that is unknown. All different wifes. The death record in 1821 of J.H. Kaupman, which one is this????, Need to start over. Salt Lake City Research Trip 2014 1. What is known: Joannes Hermanus Kaup is the father of Casparus born in 12 May1763. His wife is Cath Maria. Joannes Hermanus and Cath Maria were married by the birth of Casparus. It states that in the baptismal record. There are variations of the surname according to the brief farm history in the book about Mastholte that I received from the Brockschneider family in 2007 (Kaup/Kaupman/KaupSteffen/Kauping). 2. Detmold archives = www.archive.nrw.de 4. Research conducted FHL 1/31/14: Germany consultant: Aust der Kaup Heide is another form of the surname Kaup/Kaupman. Means a Kaup on a farm in a meadow. Searched for marriage record of a close town (Westenholz) 1753-1763 with no find. FHL microfilm # 1185779. The Kaup name is not seen in the index of baptismal records 1717-1803 either. Translation of death record of J. Herman Kaupman, Leibzuchter=retired pension person and Zweijtugen=unknown what this means. Died at 1am on 16 Feb 1821 at the age of 83 and widowed No other J. Hermanus death records 1824-1846 at Mastholte. No other J. Hermanus death records from 1801-1822 at Mastholte. One death record for J.Hermanus jost aus der Kaup heide found 25 Mar 1779, no age given and married. Found a death record for Ferd..Kaup died 6 Jun 1839 at the age of 75y2m 13 days, that would make bapt 3 Mar 1763. Will check. Can't find baptism at Mastholte for Ferd Kaup. Born the same year as Casparus so they can't be siblings. Bapt record for J. Hermanus Kaup aust der heide = 14 Nov 1734. Which J.H. Kaup is this?????? No other baptismal records between 1734-1742 for J.H. Kaup. No death record for Catherine Maria Kaup in Mastholte 1763-1821. 5. Conclusion" Unable to find a marriage record at this time. Will need to contact Germany for possible resolution.

9Mar 2023 According to Research obtained from Wilhelm Krueggeler in Oct 2022, Joanna Conrad Haschenbrink is also known as Joes Herman Kaupman after he married Annna Cath Elisabeth Kaupman nee Cordbruning. Unable to find a church marriage record for his 1st wife in between March 1761-1774 at Mastholte. Searched churches in the area of Kreis with no results. See map of data on searching churches in the area. New farm house for Kaupman farm # 14 was built for marriage in 1774. No other children found for 1st marriage of Herman from 1764-1773. No children found for 2nd marriage from 1787-1801
