Eulalie Bertha Vennemann Gilly & Children cir.1907
Eulalie is shown here with her sons Herman and Clarence and her infant daughter Mae Anne. Eulalie and her children were born in New Orleans, Louisiana. They migrated to California around the time that this photo was taken. Eulalie lived to be exactly 98 years and 3 months, outliving all 7 of her siblings. She actually died 100 years after the death of her eldest sister.
MYSTERY PHOTO #4 NEW ORLEANS or BILOXI? about 1905
We know that the woman in white is Eulalie Vennemann Gilly. Jeanne Vennemann Mouney is on the far right. (Could the fact that her husband Wharton Mouney was manager of the hat department at Godchaux have anything to do with her amazing hat?) Nathalie Venneman Mathé is standing second from the right. The short woman, second from the left, has tentatively been identified as Marie Berthe "Min" Mathé, sister of Arthur Joseph "Jack" Mathé, who was the photographer of this picture. The man in the middle is currently unidentified. COULD HE BE ANSELME deBUYS?
