TOD: "OBIT" - Adolph Pritzl - from Agnes Birringer 2/91 Adolph Pritzl, 80, of 127 Park St. Brillion, died Friday at a Green Bay hospital. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Weiting Funeral Home and at 10:30 a.m. at St Mary Catholic Church, Brillion. The Rev. Alfred Pritzl, brother of the deceased, will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery. Mr. Pritzl was born May 16, 1893, in the town of Maple Grove, son of the late Wolfgang and Francisca Lemberger Pritzl. He married Mary Gerl and she preceded him in death in 1922. He married Elsie Tikalski Smith. April 26, 1927, at Brillion. Mr Pritzl was in the hardware business for 40 years in Brillion before his retirement 10 years ago. He was a member of St Mary Catholic Church and the Holy Name Society of the church. He was also a member of the Catholic Knights. Survivors include his wife, Elsie, a son, Leon, of Merrill, a daughter, Mrs Bernard (Eleanore) Kabat, of Appleton, a step-daughter, Mrs William (Celia) Kleiber, of Manitowoc, a brother, the Rev Alfred Pritzl, of Green Bay, 15 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Five sisters and five brothers preceded him in death. Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Sunday until the time of service Monday. A Wake service will be held at 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.


BIOGRAPHIE: Adolph Pritzl (1893-1973) by Rev. John Pritzl Married Mamie Gerl who died early. [1923] They had 2 sons, Leon, Harold. Adolph next married widow Elsie Tikalski Smith who already had a daughter, Cecilia. Adolph and Elsie in turn had a daughter Eleanor. Adolph was a tinsmith like his brother Charles and worked in a shipyard at Manitowoc, Wisconsin during World War I. After the war he opened a tin shop in Marshfield, Wisconsin and later bought out his brother Franks share of the Brillion Hardware business that he shared with Charles. When his mother died, [1919], he bought her house in Brillion. After his wife Mamie died, [1923], the John & Caroline Ecker family lived with him for about a year, followed by the Joseph & Louise Kleiber family for about 3 years. [Close to the time he remarried in 1927]. He and both of his wives [and son Harold] are buried in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Brillion, Wisc.
