Die Schreibweise der Elisabeth Koldewey ist unsicher. Im Ahnenpaß der Maria Obermanns heißt sie Kolovey. Die Mischung von Sütterlin und lateinischen Buchstaben ist etwas verwirrend. Das zweite "o" könnte auch als "d" interpretiert werden, dann wäre der Namen Koldvey. Durchgängig werden die kleinen "s", "v" , "e" und "h" lateinisch geschrieben, das große "K" aber in Sütterlin, genau so wie das große "E". Auch das kleine "r" ist lateinisch, wohingegen das kleine "d" in aller Regel in Sütterlin steht.
