1804, 11, 3; Joseph Allen disowned, married out of unity.
1805, 2, 2; Joseph Allen produced an offering condemning his outgoing in
marriage which is accepted.
1807, 9, 5; Joseph Allen, s/o John & Rachel, m Martha Cox.
Martha was an Elder in Holly Spring Friends Meeting for 45 years.
Randolph County Court Minutes, August Term 1804, page 117:
Ordered by the Court that Levi Stout aged three years be bound unto Joseph
Allen until he arrives at lawful age, to learn to read and write and theart
and mystery of Coopers Trade. Indenture executed 6/ fee paid. LeviStout was
the stepson of Joseph Allen born 3m-10-1801.
Joseph Allen was appointed postmaster at Allens, NCd in Randolph Co.,
4m-20-1830, and served until it was discontinued 7m-25-1833.
