Nathan Allen died at the age of 33 years, leaving his widow and three
children. His father, John Allen III was still living. In his will,Nathan
left his ninety-four acres on which he lived, to his three children,Ruth, Job,
and Miles. There must have been an understanding between Nathan and hisfather
that the ninety-four acres was to be his, although his father did not dieuntil
9m-23-1826. John Allen III confirmed this in his will when he willed theland
on which son Nathan settled (now deceased) to be equally divided among the
three children; Ruth, Job, and Miles.
No record has been found of Miles except his birth. When Ruth and her
husband, David Stout, and Job Allen sold the land, they stated that theywere
the owners, (Miles was not mentioned). Miles may have died early and didnot
have a grave marker.
