George worked on a ship bound for Canada, once in Canada he jumped ship and made his way to Prince George. From 1913 to 1920 he lived in Prince George and worked for the Railway as a labouror. The Edmonton Henderson Directory in 1935 has him listed as a teamster working for D.B. Mullen.
