1920 Census Upper Yoder Twp., Cambria Co., PA. page 1A age 55 News Paper Obit. The Daily Tribune Johnstown, Pa. 01 Nov 1926 Mrs. Noah Slagle - Mr. Nettie (Penrod) Slagle, wife of Noah Slagle, diedyesterday afternon at Memorial Hospital, where she had been a patient forthe last three weeks. Mrs. Slagle suffered from diabetes and gangerine.Under going an operation for the amputation of her right leg last week.Mrs. Slagle was in her 64th year. Funeral services will be held at 10:30o'clock Wednesday morning at the Sell Street Church of the Brethern bythe pastor, the Rev. Homer Blough, with internment in Berkley's Cemetery. The Slagle family formerly resided at Benscreek, removing to Uniontownthree years ago. Mrs. Slagle is survived by her husband and the followingchildren: Howard Slagle, Wilkensburg: Irvin Slagle , Pittsburgh; MerleSlagle, Homewood; Edgar Slagle, Columbus, Ohio; Robert Slagle,Benscreek; and Miss Mae Slagle, for thelast three years a patient atPittsburgh Hospital. Mrs. Slagle was a sister of Mrs. Harriet Retallack,Seventh Ward; Mrs. Myrtle Vincent, Dean, Pa. and George Penrod, Dale.The body has been removed by Undertaker Pendry to the home of RobertSlagle, Benscreek.
