Former Pennsylvania school teacher. Born in Somerset Oct. 1, 1878,daughter of John and Catherine (Gunder) Barron. Preceded in death byhusband Robert W. Slagle, who was associated with ARMCO Steel Company,Ashland Kentucky until his death in 1935 Survived by two sons; Albert W.,Colorado Springs, Colorado and John, Newark, N.Y. Also five grandchildrenand three great grandchildren. Member of the First Methodist Church, Ashland, Kentucky. Friends will berecived from 7 to 9 pm Sunday in H.M. Picking Sons Mortuary, wherefuneral services will be held at 3:30 pm Monday, Rev. T. Barnette,Interment Grandview Cemetery. History of Bedford and Somersrt Counties (PA) Vol. III, page 98; listsparents and ancestors. Name conflict - first name; Nannie or Nancy. Middle inital; K. or B.,the K. could be Christine her mothers name and the B. is probably for hermaiden name of Barron.
