Born Jan. 2, 1897, in Johnstown,daughter of late William D. and Lena (Kelly) Slagle. Preceded in deathby husband Richard C.E. Griffith, June 1986; son, Willis; brothers,Willis and Dorsey. Survived by these children: Donald, married to former Audrey Richey, Johnstown;Arlena Kurtz, Kennedale, Texas; Vernon, married to former Mary Lonesky,Armaugh: 21 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three great-greatgrandchildren. Sister of Helen Shaffer and Rachel Hershberger, both ofJohnstown. Member of Bethel United Presbyterian Church. Friends received from 2 to4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Kenneth A. Stuart Funeral Home, NewFlorence, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, the Rev.Sherman Ott. Interment, Grandview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, family requestsdonations be made to a memorial fund in Jennie's name to be administeredby the family.
