Das Unternehmen W. Piesch, Tauchbergung und Unterwasserarbeiten, wurde 1970 durch Herrn Wilfried Piesch gegründet. Von Beginn an wurden alle nur denkbaren Unterwasserarbeiten sowohl im professionellen als auch im privaten Bereich ausgeführt.
Zum Beispiel wurde beim Ausbau des Berliner U-Bahnnetzes nach Spandau und Berlin-Tegel, beim Bau der Phosphateliminationsanlage Berlin Tegel und dem Kraftwerk Moabit mitgewirkt.
Wegen einer schweren Erkrankung mußte Herr Piesch sein Unternehmen 1986 veräußern.
