Sutton. She grew up in Ivywild, graduated from Colorado Springs High School and Colorado College, and received her Masters in social work from Western Reserve in Cleveland, Ohio. For several years she was receiving secretary for the Cleveland Children's Bureau. In 1935 she married Albert S. Nelson, and in 1948 returned to Colorado Springs where Mr. Nelson practiced law.
