February 12, 1976 Stevens Point Journal: Funeral services for Ivo Meyer,59, River Pines Community Health Center, will be held at 9 a.m. Friday at St. Adalberts Catholic Church, Rosholt. The Rev. John Nowak will officiate. Burial will be in the spring in the parish cemetery. Mr. Meyer died Tuesday morning at St. Michaels Hospital. He was born October 11, 1916, a son of Mr and Mrs. Hubert Meyer. He worked on his parents farm until 1951 and had been hospitalized since then.

Description

Im Jahr 1852 wanderten fast alle Einwohner des Ortes Allscheid/Eifel nach USA aus. Auf diesen merkwürdigen Umstand bin ich bei der (erfolgreichen) Suche nach den Vorfahren eines Amerikaners gestossen. Die vermutete Verwandschaft bestätigte sich zwar nicht, aber dennoch sind inzwischen viele Nachfahren dieser Allscheider Auswanderer zum Datenbestand hinzugekommen, so dass ich diesen hiermit zur Verfügung stellen möchte.
