Notes for this person

Baker, and town official (Anwalt-Schultheiss) since 1729. His brother-in-law was the Augustinian priest Burkhardus Lüdecke, priest in Böhl from 1699 to 1704, who performed his wedding. His two sons Johann *6 Nov 1712 andJohann Jakob *18 Apr 1713 could not have been born in such a short timespan. Perhaps the first was baptised some time after his birth. Other possible explanations, including whether one of the two was an adoptive son, could notbe proven. This is also true for the sons Johann Anton *20 Sep 1703 and Johann Conrad *12 Jan 1704. It is to be noted that immediately thereafter, his brother-in-law Father Burkhardus Lüdecke was forced to return to his monasterydue to an "immoral way of life".
