According to Myrtle Seitz Sell (1962). "Robert was born in Hanover,PA. He went to public school to Junior High School. He sold theEvening Bulletin, then went to work in the Express (?) Office, learnedtelegraphy and general express work. Went to work in York forCertainteed Co. as paymaster for years. Later worked at the HanoverShoe Co. as paymaster until he retired. Married Minerva McIlwee ofHanover. Robert was a Mason and a Shriner. They went on severaltrips with Shriner groups. Robert was a great comfort in her lateryears to our Mother and Father (Myrtle speaking) and helping thefamilies of his brothers and sisters financially. They are the lastof the family living in Hanover."by Rev. Dunning He was an Elk, a Mason and a Shriner. They enjoyed the many soc ialactivities. They took trips with Shriners and enjoyed trave l. Livedin a large double home on Carlisle St. It was beautif ully furnishedand included many fine antiques.
