Notes for this person
Memories: Charlotte was a pioneer wife with eleven children, no laundry or bath facilities, no modern conveniences. Before that she came to America with her mother on a ship over the Atlantic Ocean. Her mother was widow at that time. They lived in Pittsburgh, PA for a few years where both mother and daughter married. They traveled to Minnesota by way of the Ohio River on a river boat. On that trip down the river one of Charlottes sisters died. Her brother Hermann came later through New Orleans to Minnesota.
