Mr. Vandeneykel was born Oct. 21, 1922, in Edgerton, Minn. In 1923 he moved with his family to Lebanon, S.D., where he grew up and attended school. In 1934 they moved to the Akeley area where he attended school and later farmed with his father and worked at the Badoura State Nursery. He married Irma P. Gack June 23, 1951, in Hackensack, Minn. For 17 years he drove a semi-truck throughout Minnesota, hauling gravel and blacktop for the C. L. Nelson Road Construction Co. He then returned to Badoura State Nursery where he worked until retiring in 1987
