This is the line as far as it has been listed in "The DickensHeritage". There is some further research available on the internetwhich gives John the following ancestors: 1 Dickens, John, born 1530, died 1601 2 Dickens, Henry, b. abt. 1515 Great Creaton, Northamptonshire,England, d. 1542, buried 1542. 4 Dickens, Richard, b. abt. 1490 in England This line has not been accepted as trustworthy. It seems to be basedon the fact that this Henry also had a son Henry, who died in 1601 inGreat Creaton. This Henry also had a son William, who was born at 1555in Great Creaton and died there in 1583. He was married to AnnThornton. The places, dates and wife's name of this William lead to theconclusion that in the above mentioned cases, both lines were mergedincorrectly.
