[86666.ftw] After marriage he lived oa a farm near Wintermute's foundry, aboveMiddleville, for some years, when he removed to a farm in Hardwicktownship, about 3 miles west of Marksboro. This farm was, at thattime, owned by his father-in-law, Andrew Newbaker, after whose deathit was allotted to his daughter, Elsey (Newbaker) Hankinson. Theylived there for many years, and there Elsey died. After her death herhusband, Thomas H. Hankinson, continued to live there for some years,until he married his second wife, a widow Swartswelder, when heremoved to Jacksonburg, where he lived retired to the time of hisdeath. They were members of the Presbyterian church, the wife, ElseyAnn, being one of the 13 original members of the Presbyterian churchof Stillwater when it was organized in 1837. Children: Andrew,Elizabeth, Sarah, Catharine, Mary, Elijah, Lanah and Margaret.
