Notes for this person
It has been said that this John Washbourne was the son of John andJoan (Mitton) Washborn of Wickenford, Worcestershire, England. But theelder John left a will which names his sons, and does not include one named John. There were earlier generations of the Washbourne family in Bengeworth. It seems more reasonable to look for our ancestors among them, than to go twenty miles away to a family of a different social class whose head does not include our ancestor when he lists his sons.
