| Gene Boerigter, 67, of Hamilton, died Sunday, August 10, 2008 at his home following a short bout with cancer. Gene was born January 31, 1941 in Holland to Gerrit and Margaret Boerigter. Gene graduated from Zeeland High School and went on to drive for Holland Motor Express for his entire career retiring on July 31, 1998. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Sally; children, Brian and Kathy Boerigter of Borculo, Gina and Wade Tanis of Hamilton, Bridget and Mike Miles of Saugatuck, Brandon Boerigter of Hamilton, Brad Boerigter of Hamilton; grandchildren, Claudia Boerigter, Clayton Boerigter, Haley Tanis, Jason Tanis; stepbrother, Zuke and Marilyn Eding of Hamilton; stepsister-in-law, Frances Eding; sisters-in-law, Connie and Ivan Top of Hamilton, Carla and Dale Vander Poppen of Hamilton. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, August 13, 2008 at Hamilton Reformed Church, 3554 M-40, Hamilton. The Rev. Roger Vander Kolk will officiate. Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Tuesday at Hamilton Reformed Church. Burial will be in East Saugatuck Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Holland or the American Cancer Society. Arrangements by Notier-Ver Lee-Langeland Funeral Chapel. www.notierverleelangeland.com. |
