Ahlf, Henry: (1853-1924); ©ルSFuneral services for Henry Ahlf, 71 year old Davenport pioneer, were held from the Ahlf home in this city Friday and from the Lutheran church at 2:30 PM, a large crowd of friends and relatives attending. The funeral sermon was delivered by Rev H F W Meyer. The body was buried in Mountain View Cemetery. Music was furnished by a choir and quartet. Pall bearers were Fred Schiffler, Adolph Berge, E N Imus, Charles Buck, Jr, Otto Oehlwein and Math Foehr. Mr Ahlf, who had lived in the Davenport district for 45 years, was found dead in bed at his home here Tuesday morning of last week. He was a native of Freiburg, Germany, and came to California in 1871, later moving to a homestead near Davenport in 1879. He is survived by 3 daughters, Mrs Phillip Buck, Mrs David Buck and Mrs Mike Buck; and 3 sons, Edward, John and Cecil Ahlf, all of Davenport.©ルT (Dav Times Tribune: 6-26-1924) ©ルSDecree settling final account of Edward H Ahlf, administrator of the estate of Henry Ahlf, and decree of distribution of the estate have been signed.©ルT (Odessa Record: 11-06-1925); (Edit: L V Rummer, husband of Sadie Ahlf, died March 25, 1985 with burial in Spokane Memorial Gardens
