Name: MRS. CARL AHLF Submitted by: Webmaster Date Submitted: December 18, 2001 Source of Obituary: "THE MUSCATINE JOURNAL", Muscatine, Iowa, Thursday, March 21, 1963, page 3 MRS. CARL AHLF-----Funeral services for Mrs. Carl Ahlf, 64, 513 West Fourth St., were held Wednesday at St. Mathias church where a requiem high mass was celebrated by the Rev. Thomas R. Doyle. Tricia LaMorticella was the organist. Vocal music was by the choir of the Seventh and Eighth grade girls of St. Mathias school. Altar boys were Danny Bahr, John Butler, John Witte, Gregg Lindle and James Causey. Pallbearers were Edward D. Ahlf of Cedar Falls, Francis Carroll of Grandview, Joe W. Rauch of Muscatine, Leo Furlong and Maurice Furlong of Letts and William Busch of Muscatine. Interment was at St. Mary's cemetery. Mrs. Ahlf died early Sunday morning shorlty after being admitted to Muscatine General hospital.(Webmaster's note: This is a funeral notice. There may be an actual obituary in an early newspaper issue. I didn't look for one. I've included this funeral notice only because it was on the same page as an obituary for another person that I was looking for. Maybe this will help someone.)
