Louis worked as a correspondent in modern languages in a mercantile house i Flanders. When he came to America he was a tutor at what is now the University Of Pennsylvania. After he married Anna Musche from Easton PA he was involved in thecoal business. about 1812 he sent one of the first wagons of coal to Philadelphia. The was an invalid the last 9 years of his life. He was buried at LaurelHill Cemetery in Philadelphia. He and Anna had 7 children
