Marian Elisabeth ROSER

Mary had no children. She was a 1935 graduate of Utica School of

Commerce and then was employed as a stenographer for Revere Copper &

Brass of Rome for 37 years retiring in 1968.

Marion's youth was spent in Fish creek before her family moved to

Constableville. She was employed in Rome and Utica as a young woman.

After her marriage, the couple settled in Highmarket, where they

purchased the Nugent Farm. They operated the farm until 1968. After

retiring, they resided in Lyons Falls and Boonville. While Living in

Highmarket, Marion was a weather observer for 35 years for the

National Weather Service, was active in town politics, was registrar

of vital statistics, was an election inspector and a Democratic

Committeewoman. She was a member of St. Mary's Church and its Alter

and Rosary Society. She raised the two children of her daughter, Jean

Crofoot, who died young.
