At age 17 he emigrated to Wabasha County, Minnesota where his aunt Margaretha Roth Kemen lived. He lived with relatives for several years, then went to Minneapolis and worked for the railroad, going to Madison, MN in 1884 with his brothers.
MARRIAGE: after their marriage they settled on a farm near Madison, MN. They moved into Madison in 1898.
DEATH: death record of Lac Qui Parle gives his name as Frank.
