kahill1918added this on 1 Aug 2011 Yes, Caleb was the younger brother of Joshua. Their father David stipulated in his will that Caleb was to remain with the mother for the rest of her natural life. After her death, he went to Sandgate, Vermont where his younger brother Hull lived. No land deeds were found for him. I went to the Sandgate VT cemetery but could not find their graves, although I didfind several headstones where the writing was not readable. In one publication it was stated that Caleb`s wife Sarah deserted him. This is the last info on himwe have been able to find. This is a correction note posted on ancestry.com by kahill1918 on 24 Apr 2010 (it is a bit difficult to follow):
This Truman was likely son of Caleb Curtis, younger brother of Joshua and Sarah (maiden name notknown). It is not known where or when he died, but his land deed in Monroe Co, MI gave Stg. Jospeh Co, MI as his residence. His widow died in WI. Joshua and Sarah (maiden name not known) had son Truman b 1772 and m to Nancy Bowen. They wentto OH where they died. Sarah Hurd (1753-1826) was dau of Peter and Sarah (Squires) Hurd and married to Joshua`s older brother David who died young, leaving herwith two sons Jonathan and David. She then m widower Michael Hinman, and they, along with others, went to Augusta, NY.
