Thermopolis, Hot Springs County, Wyoming Library Obituary Files 5B 9-15-1955 Rena Johnson Dies Sept. 15 Rena Lucy Johnson, 73, wife of Earl Johnson, died Thursday, Sept. 15, at Memorial hospital, and funeral rites were held Saturday afternoon at the First Baptist church with the Rev. Harley M. Pulis officiating. Mrs. Franklin D. Talmage sang “Will There Be Any Stars in My Crown” and “the Old Rugged Cross.” With Mrs. Alfred Cochran, organist, as accompanist. Interment was in Monument Hill cemetery. Pallbearers were Alva Johnson, Earl Johnson, Ed Johnstone, Delmer Mentch, Bob Jones and William Conway of Ten Sleep. She was born February 3, 1882, at Stanberry, Mo., and came to this county in 1901, and on March 22, 1902, was married to Earl Johnson. For many years they lived in the Lucerne area but for several recent years their home has been in Thermopolis. Mrs. Johnson was a charter member of the Lucerne Baptist church and when that church closed all memberships were transferred to the Baptist Church in Thermopolis. She is survived by her husband and a foster daughter, Mrs. Eva Harrington, who lives in Sepulveda, Calif.
