ELKHART -- Stephen J. Bolinger, 41, of Elkhart, died at 9:47 a.m. Sunday (July 23, 2006) at his home. He was born Sept. 30, 1964, in Elkhart to Paul and June (Barrett) Bolinger. On July 18, 1998, he married Chris Judd in Elkhart. She survives, along with two daughters, Rachel (Duane) Lovely of Elkhart and Jessica Bolinger of Mishawaka; a son, Robert (Jen) Head of Misawa, Japan; three grandchildren; his parents, Paul and June of Elkhart; a sister, Janet (Bill) Sever of Kalamazoo; and a brother, Brian (Natalie) Bolinger of Corinth, Texas. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home, 403 W. Franklin St., Elkhart, where funeral services will take place at 10 a.m. Friday. Victor Burson will officiate and cremation will follow. Mr. Bolinger was employed at the History Museum in South Bend, where he was a tour guide. He was also a full-time student at IUSB and would have graduated this fall. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he was a member of the American Legion, and a former member of the Disabled American Veterans and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was a member of Southside Baptist Church Mr. Bolinger enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a Notre Dame football fan. Memorials may be given to the family of Mr. Bolinger. Elkhart Truth
