Johanna war die zweite Ehefrau von August Westphal. Sie kam durch die Flüchtlingswanderungen mit ihren Töchtern Betty und Eva und Siegfried, dem Sohn von Eva, aus Ostpreußen über Dänemark nach Mecklenburg und war später bei ihrer Tochter Meta untergebracht. Sie starb im Mai 1955 in Wismar im Stadtkrankenhaus an Herzversagen und wurde auf dem Friedhof in Proseken beerdigt. Das Grab existiertnicht mehr.
