Source-7 p. 155 "Christian Booher, however, did not arrive here until after 1815. Christian lived in this area of Sullivan County before 1824 and until his death in 1879. In 1850, Christian's sister-in-law, Polly (widow of John Booher) occupied the home with the Christian Booher family. (Legend 149) Source-8 In an account of the death of John Booher, son of Christian, [see John Booher] it is stated that he arrived in Sullivan Co. with his father when he was nine years old [1825]. Source-10 TRANSCRIPTION OF CHRISTIAN BOOHER'S WILL: January the sixth one thousand eight hundred and forty four. I Christian Booher being sound in mind but weak in body make this my last will revoking all former wills. I in the first place appoint my son John Booher my Executor having full confidence in him to collect all my debt sand pay ? all debts that I owe. And secondly, my desire and will is that my son Christian Booher & John Booher & David Booher and my daughters Nancy & Elizabeth and Margaret Booher have my plantation ?hereon I now live. John is to have the ? house and the land is to be equally divided between the above six named children after John getting the house where I now live and the above named heirs is to maintain my beloved wife Margaret in decency during her life. Thirdly, I will and bequest to my son David Booher five dollars and my son Jacob Booher one bed and ? to be worth fifty dollars & Catherine Frazer (?) my daughter (?) five dollars, and my daughter Mary Baker five dollars & my daughter Sarah Booher five and my Executor is to pay my last named sons & daughter here above named sums to each one of them as it states and after they are paid them my daughters Nancy, Elizabeth & Margaret is to have one cow a piece one bed and bedding a piece and al lthe ballance of my personal property is to be equally divided amongst or between my six first named sons & daughters. Namely Christian & John & David & Nancy & Margaret and Elizabeth. They are to have the personal property valued by disinterested persons or sold or divided ? themselves which may be most to their satisfaction, but after reconsidering my desire and will is that John's portion of the land is to be worth one hundred dollars more than my daughters and Christian and Davids portions of the land is each to be worth fifty dollars more than my daughters namely Nancy, Elizabeth and Margaret. Given under my hand and seal the day and State first written in the presence of the subscribing witnesses.
