Booher, 81, a resident of the Booher Town Community, died in Bristol Memorial Hospital at 8:10 p.m. Saturday following a two-month illness. He was a member of one of East Tennessee's pioneer families and was the father of Woodrow Booher, assistant circulation manager of Bristol Newspapers. He was also a lifelong resident and farmer in Sullivan County and a member of the Central Christian Church. Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Virginia Barron, Asheville, N. C.; a son, Richard Booher, Asheville, N. C.; and seven grandchildren. Paul Cook Funeral Home is in charge. (d. Sept 23, 1967) BRISTOL HERALD COURIER, SEPT. 24, 1967 BOOHER Funeral services for John B. Booher will be conducted at 2 p. m. Tuesday in Paul Cook Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Howard Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Weaver Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Eugene Morrell, Bill Thompson, Harold Pearman, Ronnie Booher, Keith Booher, Carl Booher, Claude Henninger, and Jim Hunnigan.
